This post comes to you by the letter F

For Friday and Fun!
2nd post in a week. Yeah!
So Wednesday we went to register Noah for kindergarten. It was fun signing and filling out all of the paperwork. I was glad we had the trips to the pediatrician, optometrist and dentist all done so all I had to do was hand over the forms. We have our list of school supplies and with fingers crossed today his monogrammed backpack and lunchbox will be sitting on the front porch when I arrive home. I loved going shopping for school supplies with mom when I was a kid. Hopefully Noah will find the same joy. Somehow I doubt that will happen as only his nerdy mom would be excited about pencils, markers, a binder, crayons etc etc (don't forget the clorox wipes, two boxes of kleenax and the 2 icing containers with lids!).

After we were done with registration Noah and John headed to the farm. The farm belongs to John's parents and it is about 50 miles from our house. I used to get super peeved when John wanted to go out there......he used to be a dairy/grain farmer when I met him....gasp, I know, if you knew me in high school you would know any boy who was into Ag, FFA, Vocational Arts etc was not exactly high on my I would marry him someday list! But hey, Paula Abdul was right and opposites DO attract. Anyhow, I digress, back to the super peeved part of me...well, now it's like THANK YOU GOD A NIGHT (OR DAY) TO: crank up the tv to 100 volume and listen to my music and shake my booty while housecleaning (you will find this is actually something I LIKE to do (I possibly may be part Monica from Friends)); watch tv shows on Bravo or MTV or Food Network with no one asking to change it to Disney or Cartoon Network or The HISTORY Channel; or just to take a big bubble bath without anyone knocking on the bathroom door. But more than that I know it really does help his parents who are up in age. So, John and Noah headed to Skokieville (my nickname for it) and they weren't coming back and weren't coming back and John wasn't answering his cell. I am not a worrier, but it was after 10:30 and John is good about getting home early especially with Noah with him. When they did finally get home I found out two things: 1) John didn't have his phone with him and 2)someone had hit a COW on the backroad they were on and a wrecker was there to move the cow AND the car. Ok, I cut him some slack about the tardiness when he told me all that!

Last night was a whole lotta nothing except for the weekly cleaning of Phineas and Ferb's cage (these are Noah's two rabbits who are brothers). That is actually John and Noah's thing so I kept myself busy with such fun things as laundry folding and putting away (I am a cleaner but laundry is my arch nemesis!). Tonight brings going to my parents church picnic for some good old fashion fish and cold beverages and game playing (aka going through $20 in 10 minutes and winning stuff from Oriental Trading). But hey, it's all for a good cause! Tomorrow I am working an event in the morning for work and then in the afternoon we have a birthday party for John's two nieces and nephew who are siblings. Sunday is wide open. John mentioned a trip to Cabella's---perhaps that is code for going to the farm?!?! =-)

Happy weekend everyone!
